I'm always so thankful when amazing wedding professionals get together and create something that's not only beautiful but realistic for my clients! This Southern shoot in Charleston at Magnolia Plantation did not disappoint. Dusty blue accents, gorgeous florals, meaningful traditions and the most gorgeous plantation setting made the perfect day. Magnolia Plantation is located on the banks of the Ashley River and is the epitome of Southern Charm.
Details are everything. The boutonnieres with the dusty blue ribbon, the pale blue heels and the his and hers vow books with gorgeous dusty blue silk ribbon. (vow books can be purchased here)
The custom invitation suite I designed features all script for a truly romantic look, complete with dusty blue envelopes, a vintage floral envelope liner and hand torn silk ribbon in a beautiful dusty blue.
One of the southern traditions celebrated at the shoot was burying a bottle of Bourbon at the ceremony site. The tradition states that if you bury a bottle of bourbon at the wedding site it won’t rain on your wedding day. True believers say you must do it exactly one month before the wedding, the bottle must be full and buried upside down. Then on the day of the wedding, you dig it up and share a glass with the wedding party after the ceremony. How fun is that!?
